The C12SX-MP from Alkeria is a polarization camera for machine vision applications. Equipped with a Sony Pregius® IMX 253 sensor, the camera is able to capture data with a 12-MP resolution and can capture four different polarization angles simultaneously from each superpixel due to a polarization filter array applied to the sensor. The camera also comes with a FusionView feature that maps angles of linear polarization to the hue component of the HSV color space and degrees of linear polarization to the saturation component, giving an intuitive preview of these properties of light. The C12SX-MP can execute polarization detection directly on-board and comes with a C-mount lens adapter.
