Zecotek Wins Australian Patent for Display System
Zecotek Photonics Inc. of Vancouver, British Columbia, announced it has received Australian patent number 2006200812 for its real-time 3-D 2-D display system technology. Unlike existing 3-D displays that can require viewers to wear special glasses, its display system provides a 3-D picture in high resolution over a wide viewing angle, Zecotek Chairman, President and CEO A.F. Ferrouk, PhD, said. The company is now demonstrating its 32-in. commercial prototype for potential industry partners; it has potential applications in medical imaging, air traffic control and computer-generated games, among others, Zecotek said.
