Yves LeMaitre Named Bookham Sales, Marketing VP
Yves LeMaitre, former chief marketing officer at Avanex Corp., has been named vice president of global sales for Bookham’s telecommunications division and vice president of corporate marketing. LeMaitre will be based at Bookham’s headquarters in San Jose, Calif., and will lead its telecom sales team and corporate communications group. He begins his new position immediately and will represent Bookham at OFC/NFOEC 2008 (Booth 1334), to be held Feb. 24-28 at the San Diego Convention Center. LeMaitre was previously president and CEO of Lightconnect, a supplier of optical microelectromechanical systems components and modules. He has also worked for Alcatel and its joint venture with Sprint International in a variety of general management, senior marketing and engineering positions in the US, France, the Netherlands and Italy. A graduate of Nantes University in France with a master's degree in mathematics and computer science, he has an engineering degree from Ecole Nationale Superieure des Telecommunications (ENST) in Paris.
