Vision Research Appoints Sales Director for Asia
Vision Research Inc. a Wayne, N.J.-based manufacturer of high-speed digital imaging systems for markets including defense, scientific and medical research, and engineering, announced that Tatt-Si Tan has been appointed director of sales for Asia and will oversee the company's expansion on that continent. "We have seen dramatic growth in applications for high-speed imaging in Asia, and feel that this is a great market opportunity for Vision Research," said Kamran Firooz, president and CEO. "Tatt-Si's familiarity with the Asian market and 20-plus years of industry experience will play an essential role in his ability to drive profitable growth for Vision Research as we look to strengthen our presence in the Asian market." Tan has held various positions in sales and general management, including in the military, test and measurement, manufacturing, research and development, and telecommunications markets. His major accomplishments include rolling out the first commercial cable-modem system in Asia. Tan resides in Singapore with his family.
