VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland has appointed Mark van Gils as research professor in charge of artificial intelligence in wellness and health care. Van Gils has previously worked as a principal scientist at VTT and is also a docent at Aalto University. He has experience in research and development in data analytics for health care applications. He has worked at VTT since 1996, performing tasks that have included leading R&D in health data analytics, the coordination of research projects, the creation of an ICT portfolio for well-being and health technology, and heading a research team. VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is a research, development, and innovation organization in that helps customers and society grow and renew through applied research.
