PITTSBURGH, Nov. 15 -- TelCove, a telecommunications provider to business customers and carriers, has bought out the 50 percent equity in its York, Pa., fiber network that had been owned by a subsidiary of Susquehanna Communications Inc. for an undisclosed amount. TelCove now wholly owns the metro network of 225 miles of fiber and more than 100 buildings.
The TelCove-Susquehanna Fiber Systems Inc. eight-year partnership was the last joint venture agreement remaining for TelCove, which now wholly owns the metro and intercity facilities in all 70 markets it serves.
Together, TelCove and Susquehanna provided services to approximately 150 customers under the name Susquehanna Adelphia Business Solutions. The buyout has received the necessary state and federal regulatory approval.
