TRUMPF Acquires Sheet Metal Processing Software Developer Lantek

TRUMPF acquired Lantek, a sheet metal software company that develops processing solutions for machining and manufacturing applications. The acquired company’s sheet metal processing software runs independently from the machine manufacturer. The acquisition, TRUMPF said in a press release, supports its customers’ needs across the sheet metal process chain, as well as its smart factory solution portfolio.

Lantek is headquartered in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain. The company employs more than 220 individuals. It will continue to operate under its current name. An integration under the TRUMPF brand is not planned and Lantek continues committed to neutrality and independence from all machine tool builders.

Financial terms of the transaction, which is expected to close by the end of March, were not released.
