HAUPPAUGE, N.Y., Nov. 15 -- Spectrum Brands Corp.'s wholly owned subsidiary, Spectrum Homeland Security Solutions Inc., has signed an agreement with Spectronics Corp. to develop and market a line of ultraviolet light sterilization devices for commercial and residential use. Spectrum said it's also examining how germicidal lamps can purify and destroy bacteria and toxic substances in water treatment systems.
