SAN DIEGO and TOKYO, March 18 -- Sorrento Networks, supplier of end-to-end, intelligent optical networking solutions for metro and regional applications, and Marubeni Network Systems (MNET), a Japanese network and systems integrator, have announced the deployment of a demonstration GigaMux metro DWDM system in a ring configuration in Japan.
MNET partners Toyo Communication (MNET's choice for field service and support) and Global Access (a Type 1 carrier that provided the fiber network) also contributed their resources to plan, deploy, manage and support the network.
