BINGHAMTON, N.Y., Nov. 17 -- Semiconductor Laser International Corp., manufacturer of high-power semiconductor lasers, has announced revenue and earnings for the three months ended September 30. The company posted revenue of $.4 million, a decrease of about 7 percent compared with revenue during the same 1999 period. The company also reported a net loss from operations of $1.3 million for the third quarter, compared with a net loss of $.7 million for the same period last year. The net loss applicable to common stock for the third quarter of this year was $0.04 per share, compared with $0.05 per share in the third quarter of 1999 when there were about 15 million fewer weighted average shares outstanding.For the nine months ended September 30, 2000, SLI reported revenues of $1.2 million, an increase of about 7 percent compared with revenues for the first nine months of 1999. SLI also reported a net loss from operations of $3.6 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2000, compared with a net loss of $2.8 million for the same 1999 period. The net loss applicable to common stock in the first nine months of 2000 was $0.14 per share, compared with $0.22 per share in the third quarter of 1999 when there were more than 12 million fewer weighted average shares outstanding.
