Raytheon Co. has awarded a follow-on production contract to imaging systems maker Salvador Imaging Inc. of Colorado Springs, Colo., to continue supplying high-performance surveillance cameras for a multiuse imaging system manufactured at Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems' facility in McKinney, Texas. The surveillance system, used for reconnaissance and tactical missions, supports domestic and international rotary-wing, unmanned airborne systems, and fixed-wing aircraft. Under the contract, Salvadore will delivery roughly 100 additional imaging systems to Raytheon during 2008. Salvador is a wholly owned subsidiary of Photon Dynamics, a San Jose, Calif.-based provider of LCD flat panel display test and repair systems for defense, industrial inspection and medical imaging applications.
