MARBURG, Germany, and LONGMONT, Colo., Feb. 2 -- Sacher Lasertechnik GmbH, of Marburg, Germany, with Triad Technology Inc., of Longmont, Colo., have formed a strategic partnership to develop ultrastable laser light sources based on stabilized external cavity diode lasers. Applications will include frequency standards, optical cooling and trapping and general spectroscopy.
Sacher Lasertechnik Group is a manufacturer of tunable high-power external cavity diode lasers, with several patents on external cavity diode lasers and on performing antireflection coatings for diode lasers.
Triad Technology is a supplier of precision wavelength reference cells and fiber-coupled broadband light sources. It was founded by former board members of EOSI, which was acquired by Newport in 1999.
