Tang to Advance Rama Label Technology at Photon Etc.

MONTREAL, June 24, 2015 — Nathalie Tang has joined the newly created nanotechnology development division, Photon Nano, at Photon Etc., where she will focus on integrating the company's hyperspectral imaging technologies with novel Raman labels. Tang has a doctorate from Montreal University. In the course of postdoctoral research with professor Richard Martel's group, Tang contributed to the development of dyes encapsulated in carbon nanotubes that enhance Raman scattering for multispectral imaging — work described last year in Nature Photonics (doi: 10.1038/nphoton.2013.309). The technology was licensed to...Read full article

    hyperspectral imaging
Hyperspectral imaging is an advanced imaging technique that captures and processes information from across the electromagnetic spectrum. Unlike traditional imaging systems that record only a few spectral bands (such as red, green, and blue in visible light), hyperspectral imaging collects data in numerous contiguous bands, covering a wide range of wavelengths. This extended spectral coverage enables detailed analysis and characterization of materials based on their spectral signatures. Key...
