HAMBURG, Germany, May 7 -- Rofin-Sinar Technologies Inc. has reorganized the management of Rofin-Sinar Laser GmbH. Hinrich Martinen, who previously resigned as director of the board, vice president and chief technical officer of Rofin-Sinar Technologies, has announced his retirement as technical director of Rofin-Sinar Laser GmbH. Ulrich Hefter has been appointed as his successor. "We regret the retirement of Mr. Martinen, however, we are happy that he will continue to support us as a consultant as well as for special projects," said Peter Wirth, chairman and CEO of RSTI. Hefter started his career as research manager for Laser-Optronic, a company that developed, manufactured and sold laser-marking systems. Laser-Optronic is part of the Marking Division of Rofin-Sinar Laser GmbH.
