Laser micromachining provider Resonetics LLC announced that in the spring of 2011, it will relocate from its current Nashua facility to a larger facility a short distance away in the Nashua area. With a footprint that is 50 percent larger than the current facility’s footprint, the new facility has a significant portion allocated to medical device component and service manufacturing. In addition, the company plans to double again by 2012 and has reserved surrounding space to enable the expansion. “It is especially rewarding to our employees that Resonetics is experiencing significant growth opportunities in the medical device market,” said Cliff Gabay, president of Resonetics. “Over the last few years, our company has executed the strategic plan to focus on medical device components and system business as well as exploding opportunities in diabetes and diagnostics, to name a few. The net result is that we are overflowing in our current facility and we look forward to the new facility to continue executing our exciting growth plans.” The company decided to remain in Nashua so as not to disrupt its employees who played a critical role in the success of the company.
