SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 4 -- A final tally of attendance at the Photonics West Exhibition, which closed Thursday afternoon, and preliminary totals for the entire week, are 13,250 total attendees -- approximately 3500 technical attendees, 3550 exhibit reps, and 6000 exhibit-only attendees, according to its sponsor, The International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE). "Exhibitors were pleased with the quality of attendees, as there seemed to be signs of serious buyers reentering the market," SPIE announced on its Web site.
