Photonics Education: Where is Everybody?

Photonics companies are offering top dollar for entry-level jobs, if only people would take them.

John-Kevin Frazee put himself through community college while working for minimum wage at a grocery store. After graduating in 2011, he took jobs growing laser crystals and processing LED wafers. By age 23, he'd earned enough to buy a house. "With our degree, I've never gone to a job interview and not been offered a job, so it's worked out pretty well for me," Frazee said.
