VISTA, Calif., Feb. 22 -- Digital Optics Corp. has selected Palomar Technologies' laser diode assembly (LDA) cell to automate its optical component assembly. The LDA will expand Digital Optics' optical integration and packaging capabilities to meet volume production requirements for several strategic customers in the telecommunication industry, the company said. Digital Optics develops photonic chips, optical subassemblies that integrate optics and active components at the wafer and die level using high-speed automation for volume manufacturing.
