Osram Obtains Government Contract to Develop OLEDs

To demonstrate the potential of white organic LEDs to conserve energy in commercial and residential applications, Osram Opto Semiconductors of San Jose, Calif., has been awarded a $4.65 million grant from the US Department of Energy. The three-year project supports the government's plan for new, cost-effective, low-emission technologies.
