ASTM International of West Conshohocken, Pa., has created an international standard, G199, to provide a means of electrochemical testing for corrosion. The Guide for Electrochemical Noise Measurement presents a procedure to test for localized and general forms of corrosion, as well as methods for analyzing the resulting data. It is geared toward laboratory-based users.
