NDC Infrared Engineering has hired Terry Patterson as vice president of global customer care for its Sensors, Systems and Metals divisions. Patterson, who most recently served as vice president of service at Rapiscan Systems, brings 25 years of experience in the field of service management in higher education and high-technology companies such as NCR, AT&T and Northrop Grumman. He holds both a B.S. and a master’s in business administration from the University of Redlands, California. NDC Infrared Engineering, a Spectris company, designs and manufactures near-infrared sensors and systems for online and offline analysis. The devices measure moisture, fat and other elements in tobacco, food and bulk products; basis weight and thickness in continuous-web processes; and thickness, flatness and width in metal sheet goods.
