Medical imaging products developer T-Ray Science Inc., has announced three management appointments to underscore its focus on product realization and revenue generation. Tom Walker has joined the company as its senior vice president of business development. With over 25 years of North American and international experience in healthcare markets, he has held senior management roles with Eli Lilly, Cardinal Health and AGFA Healthcare. Walker has also been involved with several Waterloo-based early-stage companies, assisting them in building revenue and positioning them for sale to larger companies. Current board of directors member, Karen Boodram, has agreed to take on an increased role with the company. She will serve as a consultant, advising the company’s commercialization efforts of its skin cancer imaging device. Under the terms of the agreement, her services will be compensated in both cash and common shares. Boodram previously worked as a life science analyst at PI Financial Corp. and has more than 18 years of life sciences industry experience. The company’s chief technology officer, Dr. Daryoosh Saeedkia, is no longer at the organization. Dr. Abdorreza Heidari, the company’s director of software and systems, and Dr. Mohammad Esmaeili-Rad, the director of microfabrication, will perform the CTO tasks for the foreseeable future. “The changes to the company’s management team will support T-Ray’s business and strategic priorities and ensure that proper management is secured to lead these efforts,” said Thomas Braun, president and chief executive officer for T-Ray.
