Laserscope Reports Positive Results in Leg Vein Study

SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 8 -- Laserscope announced that results of a clinical study using the company's Lyra Laser System to treat leg veins show early promise. Brian D. Zelickson of the University of Minnesota and the Abbott Northwestern Hospital Laser Center is leading the study. We recently started investigating the responses of deeper leg veins, up to 3 mm in diameter, to the Lyra long-pulse Nd:YAG laser system, reported Zelickson.
