Indigo Wins Contract to Provide IR Sensors for Aircraft

Indigo Systems of Goleta, Calif., has received a contract from Baltimore-based Northrop Grumman Corp. Electronic Systems to develop megapixel-class IR integrated detective assemblies for the distributed aperture system of F-35 multifunction, supersonic stealth aircraft. The system will use several sensors, each containing the detective assemblies, mounted on the aircraft. The sensors will capture real-time imagery that can be processed into streaming video footage for display on the pilot's helmet-mounted video monitor.
