Gould Technology LLC of Millersville, Md., has purchased the PLC power splitter module product line from Teem Photonics SA of Grenoble, France. As part of the agreement, it will use the French company’s ion exchange waveguide splitter chips inside the modules. The power splitter line offers low insertion and polarization-dependent loss as well as high port-to-port uniformity, enabling Gould Technology to enhance its offerings in passive optical components and subsystems. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
