Four Firms Join on XGA Engine for Rear Projection

TEMPE, Ariz., June 19 -- Three-Five Systems Inc., Advanced Digital Optics (ADO), ColorLink and Cogent Light plan to develop an optics engine for use in monitors and televisions for incorporation into low-cost PC-Ready display systems for home use. The microdisplay-based engine will incorporate 0.5" XGA resolution (1024 x 768) Brillian Microdisplays provided by Three-Five Systems. The optics will be designed and built by ADO.
