Digilab LLC of Randolph, Mass., and Infrared Fiber Systems Inc. of Silver Spring, Md., have formed a long-term distribution agreement for a portable near-IR acousto-optic tunable filter spectrometer for material identification and quality control applications. Digilab will market, sell and service Infrared Fiber Systems' spectrometers in Europe, the Americas and other selected countries. The rapid molecular detection and analysis system, which can be brought to samples in the field, will be used initially in plastics recycling.
