Electro Scientific Industries Inc. (ESI) announced it has received a multiple unit order for its Model 4990 laser trimming systems from Systron Donner. The systems will be shipped during ESI's third quarter, ending March 1. . . . Micronic Laser Systems AB, a Stockholm manufacturer of laser pattern generation equipment to the semiconductor and display industries, has received an order for an MP80+ laser pattern generator from a photomask manufacturer in China. The system is scheduled to ship during the first half of this year.
