In Boulder, Colo., Alpine Research Optics has moved into a custom-built 35,000-sq-ft facility, which includes 4000 sq ft of cleanroom space for substrate fabrication, coating and optomechanical assembly. As a result, inspection, cleaning and packaging processes are performed under class 10,000 cleanroom conditions. The expansion will provide the company with the capacity to meet the market demand for high-damage-threshold, high-post-coated flat and deep-UV optics.
