Aegis Lightwave, Photop Technologies Brands Merge

WOBURN, Mass., CANBERRA, Australia, and FUZHOU, China, Jan. 7, 2013 — II-VI Inc. subsidiaries Aegis Lightwave and Photop Technologies announced Monday that they have merged under the Photop brand. Massachusetts-based Aegis Lightwave will now operate as Photop Aegis Inc. Its subsidiary in Australia, AOFR Pty Ltd., has been renamed Photop AOFR Pty Ltd. The merger will allow the affiliates to better serve an expanding and global customer base with coordinated sales, marketing, applications engineering and product development activities using the companies’ combined resources and expertise, they say.
