Raanan Gewirtzman is New Broadlight CEO

Raanan Gewirtzman has been appointed CEO of BroadLight, a Mountain View, Calif., GPON (gigabit passive optical network) semiconductor supplier, effectively immediately. He succeeds Andrew Vought, who resigned after four years as CEO. Raanan joined BroadLight in 2003 and has been responsible for its product development and operations; he was promoted to chief operating officer in 2006.
