Process Photonics Awarded AOI Contract
Process Photonics (PPI), an Ottawa, Ontario, supplier of inspection, test and laser-based material processing systems and a subsidiary of the Tarquin Group, announced today it has received a multi-unit order valued at over US$800,000 for its automated optical inspection (AOI) systems from a major health-care product manufacturer. PPI said the vision systems will be used in a precision inspection task and will improve processing time and accuracy over existing equipment; they are expected to be delivered and installed before the end of the year.
