IRVINE, Calif., Mar. 13 -- Premier Laser Systems Inc. has filed a voluntary petition for protection and reorganization under Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in US Bankruptcy Court in Santa Ana, Calif. The company reported that the filing was necessitated by its lack of liquidity, by the overhang of prior obligations, and by the need to seek protection from certain creditors' activities.
