Polatis Adds 3 Sales Execs
Stuart Santoro, former vice president of sales at Opvista Inc., is among three new sales executives hired by Polatis Inc., the manufacturer of optical switches announced today. Santor will direct telcom sales in North America. Also joining Polatis are Sean Gordon, formerly with Foxcom Ltd., as director of sales for worldwide video/broadcast, and Philip Benguhe, formerly of DiCon Fiberoptics Inc., as director of sales, defense and federal sector. Santoro has more than 20 years of experience in sales for telecommunications companies including Ubiquitair Inc., Ceterus Networks and ECI Telecom. Gordon spent 14 years as vice president of marketing and business development at Foxcom, for which he supplied fiber optic equipment to the video broadcast, satellite communications and radio-frequency (RF)-over-fiber markets. Benguhe was previously director of sales, specialty products, at DiCon and national account sales manager at JDSU. He has worked with numerous defense contractors and US defense agencies. Polatis, which has headquarters in Cambridge, England, and in Billerica, Mass., will exhibit at ECOC 2007 (Booth 15017), the 33rd European Conference and Exhibition on Optical Communication, Sept. 16-20 at the Internationales Congress Centrum in Berlin.
