SAN JOSE, Calif., Aug. 27 -- Philips Flat Display Systems (FDS) has appointed Ron Wirahadiraksa senior executive vice president, CFO, and joint representative director of LG.Philips LCD, the joint venture between LG Electronics Inc. and Royal Philips Electronics. The new venture creates the world's largest supplier of active matrix liquid crystal displays, demonstrating both partners' commitment to the flat display industry.
Wirahadiraksa, a 12-year veteran of Philips, will be based in Seoul, South Korea. He served most recently as CFO of Philips FDS, following a term as CFO of Philips Malaysia.
