BOSTON, Jan. 10 -- Nortel Networks has expanded its network of manufacturing representatives for optical components to complement its direct sales activity in the OEM market. The company recently added Electec to provide strategic geographic coverage in the Northwestern US and British Columbia, Canada; Rep-Tec to focus on Texas and Oklahoma; Technical Marketing Group to cover certain Middle Atlantic states; and Leads Marketing Group to serve the Southeastern US. "These alliances reinforce our commitment to develop and serve a broad global market," said Barbara Callaghan, president, optical components, Nortel Networks. Nortel Networks currently has relationships with channel partners and distributors in North America, the Middle East and Asia Pacific for its optical components products.
