EDISON, N.J., Dec. 14 -- Sphera Optical Networks Inc., a metropolitan core service provider, has been awarded a contract to provide Gigabit Ethernet service to Norlight, a supplier of wholesale carrier transport solutions and data communications services. Sphera will provide metro connectivity from Norlight's point of presence in Chicago to a location in downtown Chicago.
