Livermore, Calif., robotics company Adept Technology Inc., which recently resumed trading on NASDAQ, has announced a partnership with TriStar Systems, an Arvada, Colo., maker of custom automation systems for the disk drive and media manufacturing market, to provide advanced systems for measuring media quality.    . . .    Bothell, Wash., nanotechnology company Lumera Corp. announced it has signed a $400,000 contract with the Pennsylvania State University Electro-Optics Center to develop polymer-based electro-optic modulators for the detection of terahertz radiation -- passive radiation in the 30-Ghz to 10-THz range. Lumera will deliver materials and modulators to the center, which promotes the development of electro-optic materials, components and systems for use by defense forces.
