Nathan Tinker, the founder of the NanoBusiness Alliance, a trade association for nanotechnology companies, was recently named executive director of the New York Biotechnology Association, which focuses on advancing New York's biotech sector. Tinker replaces Karin Duncker, who resigned from the post last year. Tinker said his goal is to work to "further strengthen the competitiveness of New York state as an industry leader in biomedical research, education and product development." The association, based in New York City, has 250 members.
