In collaboration with microcontroller supplier Renesas Technology, Walleye Technologies demonstrated its millimeter wave camera technology at Renesas developers’ conference in Garden Grove, Calif. on Oct. 11, 2010. Shown to the general public for the first time, the Walleye camera incorporates Renesas’ microcontroller to process the electronic and optical circuitry. The camera is capable of “seeing” into and through solid objects, showing the image on an LCD screen that can be readily displayed, stored, analyzed and transmitted. It works like a battery-powered digital camera that uses invisible wavelengths to see into and through objects. Combining proprietary optical components with millimeter wave circuitry, it creates images of objects behind opaque materials. Walleye Technologies develops next generation handheld portable imaging systems capable of “seeing” into and through objects. For more information, visit: www.walleyetechnologies.com
