Lean Business to Be JDSU Webinar Topic

Julie Biberstein, senior director of operations for the optical communications business segment at JDSU, will host a webinar entitled “Lean Business Practices: An Industry Imperative,” Feb. 13 at 8:30 a.m. PST. "As voice, video and data applications have risen in popularity among consumers, they have also put a strain on network bandwidth and created high demand for upgraded network services, the company said in a statement. "In response to this bandwidth explosion, network equipment manufacturers and optical suppliers like JDSU are streamlining their operations to meet service provider needs for rapid and cost-effective network buildouts." The webinar will cover how lean business practices play a critical role in enabling the optical communications supply chain to support this dynamic market. JDSU, based in Milipitas, Calif., provides communications test and measurement solutions and optical products for telecommunications service providers, cable operators and network equipment manufacturers. It also provides optical technology for medical/environmental instrumentation, semiconductor processing, display, brand authentication, aerospace and defense, and decorative applications.
