MAHWAH, N.J., Oct. 1 -- Konica Photo Imaging Inc. and Minolta Corp. have been combined into Konica Minolta Photo Imaging USA Inc., which opens today. The new business unit is the North American sales and marketing subsidiary of Konica Minolta Holdings Inc., which was formed in August.
Minolta veteran Henry Okamura was named president of Konica Minolta Photo Imaging USA, based in Mahwah, N.J.
Konica Minolta Photo Imaging USA products and services will adopt the new Konica Minolta Group logo. Cameras will continue to be sold under the Minolta brand, and film will retain the Konica brand, the company said.
