John Ricardi has been named vice president, business development, Micro Imaging Technology (MIT) Inc. of San Clemente, Calif., announced this week. Ricardi brings 30 years of experience in commercializing and developing sales for high-technology products and systems to MIT, a developer of laser-based technology for rapid microbe detection and identification. He most recently served as vice president of sensor products for laser and x-ray technology developer Jmar Technologies of San Diego. From 1997-1999, Ricardi worked as vice president of corporate development for Jmar and senior vice president of sales and marketing of Jmar's Precision Systems operation in Chatsworth, Calif. Before that, he held senior sales and marketing positions with the Imaging Systems Div. of Datron Advanced Technologies, a California-based manufacturer of advanced telecommunications products.
