Jie Fu Joins JPSA's Laser Applications Engineering Team

JieFu.jpgLaser applications engineer Jie Fu, a specialist in ultrafast solid-state laser systems technology, has joined the Applications Engineering Group at J P Sercel Associates (JPSA), the company announced today. Manchester, N.H.-based JPSA makes laser systems for wafer processing and micromachining. Fu earned his master's and PhD degrees in optics from the College of Optics and Photonics: CREOL & FPCE, University of Central Florida, Orlando. His dissertation research, in which he discovered record levels of two-photon absorption, employed ultrafast laser systems to study the nonlinear optical properties of novel materials, especially semiconductor and organic molecules.
