OTTAWA, Canada, May 30 -- Fiber optic component supplier Oplink Communications Inc. has resolved its dispute with JDS Uniphase Corp. and agreed to dismiss a patent infringement lawsuit between the two companies.
Oplink and JDS subsidiary E-Tek Dynamics Inc. claimed in litigation before a federal court in San Francisco that their respective patents had been infringed. Neither of the companies admitted liability, and have now filed a joint motion to dismiss all claims between the two businesses. Terms of the settlement include a cross-licensing deal on certain wavelength division multiplexing patents.
