Iridex Appoints New VP, Interim CFO
Iridex Corp. of Mountain View, Calif., a maker of therapeutic-based laser systems, announced yesterday that it has appointed Gary Seeger as vice president of quality assurance (QA) and regulatory affairs (RA). Seeger joins the company from Stellartech Research Corp., where he spent the last 12 years as vice president of QA and RA. Before that, he served in the same position at Synvasive Technology, a reconstructive surgery instrument manufacturer. He has also previously worked for several other medical device companies. Iridex also announced it has hired Financial Leadership Group LLC to help prepare its financial statements until a replacement CFO is appointed; former CFO Meryl Rains resigned July 20 and is now an Iridex consultant. James Pardee will join the company as interim CFO, the company said.
