PHOENIX, Jan. 4 -- International FiberCom Inc. has acquired the New CC Group, a group of affiliated privately-held wireless services companies, for cash and restricted shares of International FiberCom common stock worth about $9 million. New CC employs more than 100 people and provides site development, tower erection, signal propagation, system upgrade, technology integration, system optimization, audit, maintenance and other technical services to wireless carriers and tower companies. "The New CC Group, with its talented technical staff, solid reputation with the wireless industry and extensive experience with wireless technology deployment, is an exciting addition to our company," said Joseph P. Kealy, International FiberCom's CEO and chairman. "Not only does this acquisition help round out IFCI's wireless service offerings with carriers, but there is the bonus of expected synergies with AeroComm and other IFCI operations, opening up new opportunities for all."
