KANATA, Ontario, Canada, Nov. 27 -- GSI Lumonics Inc. and BioDiscovery Inc. have agreed to dismiss with prejudice all pending lawsuits and to exchange mutual releases. Soheil Shams, creator of BioDiscovery, had filed a trade secret/breach of contract lawsuit in US District Court of the Central District of California against GSI Lumonics. In return, GSI Lumonics filed a defamation lawsuit against BioDiscovery and Shams in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
BioDiscovery provides software solutions for gene expression research bioinformatics. GSI Lumonics provides laser-based systems for semiconductor, electronics and other industries.
