As a partner of the French Ministry of Armed Forces, laser developer mirSense was visited by Florence Parly, minister of the French Armed Forces, during a military and civilian-focused trade show. MirSense is a vetted contractor for the French military through the Rapid program. “Getting the backing of the French minister of Armed Forces is a key asset for our company, as it helps us deepen our understanding of the needs of clients for defense applications and also helps us export more easily to non-European customers,” said Mathieu Carras, CEO of mirSense. “This support helps the mirSense company remain the leading European manufacturer of quantum cascade MWIR high-powered lasers for defense applications by helping out with the export control requirements.” MirSense has signed confidential contracts with several ministries of defense in Europe and with several large electronics military companies in Italy and Israel. The company has already successfully delivered high-powered lasers to military clients and is eager to produce high-powered quantum cascade laser systems customized to the needs of its military clients.
