STOCKHOLM, Aug. 20 -- Ericsson is reorganizing and creating five global customer units to take care of Vodafone, France Telecom, Deutsche Telekom, Telefonica and TIM. The company also plans to merge its Latin America and North America market areas into one unit, make Europe, Middle East and Africa the second and Asia Pacific the third -- reducing the number of market areas to three from five. "Our new organization will put even more emphasis on serving our customers, reduce complexity and apply resources more efficiently," Ericsson chief executive Kurt Hellstrom said in a statement.
